Cookie notice: one language cookie, no tracking

The short version

done.green sets one cookie, and only if you choose a language with the language switcher. It remembers that choice and nothing else. The site sets no tracking or analytics cookies and runs no analytics scripts, ad pixels, or social media trackers. That is why there is no cookie banner here: there is nothing to consent to.

How the site picks your language

On your first visit, the site reads the language preference your browser sends with every page request (the Accept-Language header) and shows the site in Swedish or English. Nothing is stored for this. If you then pick a language with the switcher, the site sets a cookie so the server can show every following page in that language.

The one cookie we set

Name: done.locale
Type: first-party cookie, set by done.green only
Value: en or sv
Purpose: showing the site in the language you chose
When it is set: only when you choose a language with the language switcher
Lifetime: one year from the last time you chose a language
Sent to: done.green, with each page request, so the server can show the page in your language. It is not shared with anyone else.

This is a strictly functional setting: it only does what you asked for when you switched language, and it contains nothing that identifies you. Storage like this does not require consent under EU ePrivacy rules.

Earlier versions of the site kept the language choice in your browser's localStorage. If that entry is still there, the site deletes it on your next visit.

What we commit to

If we ever add analytics or marketing technologies to this website, we will list them on this page first, with names, purposes, and lifetimes, and ask for consent where the law requires it. As long as done.locale is the only cookie listed here, it is the only thing we store in your browser.

How to delete it

You can delete the cookie at any time. The site then goes back to following your browser's language setting.

Chrome, Edge, and Firefox: while you are on done.green, click the icon to the left of the web address and open the cookies and site data option.
Safari on Mac: open Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data, and search for done.green.
